Husker
Husker
We adopted Husker from an animal shelter in Bailey, CO. He was found wandering the streets when he was about 3 months old. It became immediately apparent that Husker was going to need to be challenged his whole life. He was beyond energetic and loved his obedience training. We enrolled him in obedience and agility classes, which he out performed us! As he continued to grow, we passed our Canine Good Citizen certification and became a Therapy Dog. Husker insisted that this was too boring for him, so we began training for search and rescue. Once again, we were the hindrance, and due to our own scheduling conflicts we stopped training. Husker is now nine years old and continues to out-shine all the other dogs in physical and mental abilities. He loves his bike rides, hikes, walks, and runs and continues to out-perform us in just about every way imaginable.
Scout
Scout
We adopted Scout from an animal shelter in Thornton, CO. Scout was probably one year old and was found wandering the streets by a play ground. Scout had been in a shelter for several weeks when his time ran out. Luckily, a no-kill shelter rescued him where he stayed for another month until we found him. Scout has proven to be the perfect dog. It was obvious when we first adopted him that he had only a small amount of human contact. He was very shy, did not know what toys were, and preferred to sleep in his own space. After several months and lots of love and attention Scout began to enjoy everything the world had to offer. He now loves to go for runs, walks, and bike rides, but is completely obsessed with balls and toys. When he’s tired from his days of fun, he is most comfortable curled up by our side.
Ridley
Ridley
We adopted Ridley from the Adams County Shelter when he was probably four years old. He was picked up by animal control and the family chose to leave him up for adoption. Although he has required training and rehabilitation, he continues to show lots of progress. Ridley had little animal socialization, did not have any training, and had never seen any of the luxuries of indoors. He still gets very anxious when left alone, but has become very accustomed to the comforts of his new home. He has unconditional love for all humans and loves his "brothers".
Bandit
Bandit
Bandit was found as a stray and quickly became the animal shelter’s favorite. Nobody came for him and after no one seemed interested in adopting him after several months, the shelter staff became very worried that he was running out of time. CCR brought him into our program and adopted him out to a loving family where he’s kept busy playing with the kids all day long!
Russko "Handsome"
Russko
Russko was part of a litter of four puppies who needed a little more TLC prior to being adopted. His foster family fell in love with him, and the rest is history! Russko plays all day with his brother/packmate and is attending obedience classes already!
Makana "Lily"
Makana
Makana was part of a litter of four puppies who were left at the animal shelter. We brought her into our program and proved to be the most outgoing of the group! She now has a perfect home where she gets plenty of exercise and play time and is already in obedience classes!
Oliver
Oliver
Oliver had spent the last two years of his life in and out of the animal shelter. He was slated for euthanasia, but we were able to bring him into our program just in time! He has a wonderful adoptive family who cares for special needs animals. Oliver is doing great and is finally getting the love he has deserved all of these years.
